similar
problem? He has been undiagnosed but we think he has fms. He has
stiffness and pain in the neck and shoulders, and the pain mves around.
Any suggestions for diagnosis or treatment?
Answer:
I have had FMS for a decade if not two...but
never had back pain sudden and severe like a 'heart attack' until two weeks
ago.
ne day, no warning, no clear precipitating cause, I had a bad back
pain localized in the lower back on the left side. Nothing helped. I
balked at cortisone shots. I just switched off the regular NSAIDS to
something called Salsalate and poured a few Darvocet N-100's on top for a
week, and it slowly subsided.
Years ago when I took NSAIDS (I think it wasw Ketaprofen ) for a lower back
disc problem I started getting sudden intense attacks of pain around my
kidneys. It was paralyzing and would last for about 5 minutes then ease
up. This happened on several occasions (fortunately not while driving).
When I stoped taking the Rx dosages of the NSAID the problem went away. Be
careful when taking these high dosages.
