Tissue Injuries? Need Help! |

Question:
Received soft tissue injuries from auto accident. Am told statistics
indicate most are healed within about 6 months. It has now been three
years and I am still suffering in neck and back. Where can I find
statistics showing this is possible?
Anybody who has suffered from similar injuries, please let me know.
Answer:
There are authoritative medical reviews (which I can supply references for
if you wish), indicating that 50% of patients are better at 3 mo, with
progressively increasing percentages of recovery over time, up to 85% at
2 years. The remaining 15% will continue to have pain, and most of those
will still have it at 5yrs from the MVA date - it sounds like you may be
in that category.
