I am 5 months pregnant and suffering severe lower back pain due to my sciatic nerve. It hurts so much at times that I haven't any idea what to do.

I was having severe pain in my right leg on the outside. So bad I was crying! I called the family doc, he told me to see my OB. My ob said see the family doc. Finally had an appt with the OB yesterday, a day later. I was told by my OB that I have to watch, it could be a clot. Which he did not feel that it was. But he feels that it is a nerve problem set on by being pregnant. It is not sciatic cause he said it did not start at the butt.

I have to see a Neurologist. He called it something, but I forget what it was. I am hoping that the Chiropractor said was right though! That it really is Sciatic and it was not that bad in my butt and it went down etc, cause after he manipulated my back etc. I FELT WONDERFUL! Till about 4 hours later and the pain was back worse than before. I was told by a physical therapist that your pelvic bones become soft during pregnancy that they can move on top of nerves.
