| Looking for Lower Back Pain Help |
|
Question:
The pain/soreness is coming from lower spine and top of hip(Gluteus
Maximus). It feels not really a sharp pain but rather like I was sitting in
a bad chair for hours.
Answer:
You're probably bending more from your lower back than you should be -
StraightLDL isn't really an exercise for people with poor hamstring
flexibility.
Try stiff leg DLs - almost the same, but keep your knees bent a bit so you
can get down to the bottom of the movement without rounding your back. Look
up, or at least forwards, which will help. You should find that your
hamstrings and glutes do pretty much all the work.
Stretch your hamstrings and lower back by bending over and touching
your toes. You might also want to do light deadlifts as well to increase the
blood flow in the area.
It's not really good for your back to do what you are doing.
