Water cure for back pain
Question:
"The Water Cure" seems to work for my lower back pain. Two weeks without tea and coffee and no stiffness or pain in the lower back. Amazing. Has anyone else every tried this? What were your results?

Answer:

Proper hydration works wonders in many conditions. I myself have experienced lower back problems when dehydrated, and none of the same when properly hydrated. Now however, I don't achieve this by drinking gallons of water, but eating plentifully of high water content raw fruits and vegetables. This gives me the same, no...actually, better results. It keeps my body hydrated better than constantly drinking water. And no back problems as a result.

Water, and hydration, are vital in many areas of our lives, and when we don't have enough, our body will essentially "sap" it out of ourselves, diluting the poisons within us to be processed by our kidneys. One effect of this is atrophy, as the muscles are depleted of water (their main component). Dehydration has been linked to possible causation of many sundry diseases, so why not also affect allergies? Honestly, who knows. But there are definite benefits to proper hydration.

With regards to back pain, PART of the "no coffee no tea" rule (and actually TEA more than coffee), has to do with, among other things, the caffeine, which acts as a diuretic. I remember when experiencing specific bouts of severe back pain, an associate noticed I had at the time been drinking excessive amounts of iced-tea. He mentioned the correlation to back pain, and I drew myself off the iced- tea, and yup, sure enough,... back pain dissipated. I find coffee, however, does not seem to correlate similarly with back pain.

Either way, yes, water is grand. I opt for distilled. Blanket assumptions "spring" water, or "mineral" water is somehow more "healthy" is not, IMHO, necessarily correct, - not all "springs" feed from healthy sources, nor are all "minerals" healthy to ingest.
