Back Pain Early Pregnancy
Question:
I've been having back pain for the last week or so, the same crampy kind of pain I get during AF. It freaked me out at first, because I thought I was loosing the baby, but after a week of this, I figure if it were indicative of a serious problem, I would have miscarried already. I do remember having back pain with my first pregnancy, but it was much later...around 3 months or so and it was due to stretching ligaments. A very different kind of pain as well. Has anyone else had this kind of crampy back pain in very early pregnancy?

Answer:

You may be noticing it "earlier" because you're more tuned into what a pregnant body does. If its really bad I'd call the doc or maybe get a massager and see if that helps. Early cramping is normal, and I have read that some back pain is, too.

I had that sort of pain all the time. It's probably to do with progesterone levels relaxing the ligaments so things are not held as securely and straight as they should be. Cramping in your uterus is normal as well.
